HUD’s Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes is sponsoring several trainings in the coming weeks to review federal lead regulations with a focus on the Lead Safe Housing Rule. The training objectives include:
- How federal lead regulations apply to housing activities and programs
- How to comply and document compliance with the key steps of lead hazard evaluation, reduction, and clearance
- How to keep residents protected from lead hazards during and after work is complete

The Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes (OLHCHH) is sponsoring a training series that will help participants review federal lead regulations with a focus on the Lead Safe Housing Rule (LSHR) activities for project-based assistance (PBA) (Subpart H), public housing (Subpart L), and tenant-based rental assistance (TBRA) (Subpart M). All sessions will cover the following topics as they apply to the specific activity:

- Approach to Lead Hazard Evaluation and Reduction
- Pre-Renovation Education (EPA Req)
- Lead Hazard Reduction
- Clearance and Notice
- Ongoing Maintenance
- Periodic Re-evaluation
- Children with Elevated Blood Lead Levels Requirements

Participants will learn:

Who Should Attend?
This webinar series is intended for Community Planning and Development (CPD) grantees, Public Housing Agencies (PHAs), Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs), multifamily housing property managers and their maintenance supervisors, and Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) grantees and their subgrantees/sub-recipients who administer PBA (Subpart H), public housing (Subpart L), and TBRA (Subpart M).
Note: These trainings cannot accommodate HUD staff or consultants at this time. Sessions will be recorded and accessible on the HUD Exchange post-event. Additionally, the content from these sessions was previously delivered in Fall 2022.

Schedule and Registration
Each session includes a three-hour webinar and a one-hour office hour session the following day. Participants should register for the training(s) that applies to their work activities. By registering, participants will also be automatically registered for the one-hour Office Hour session that follows each webinar to review homework and answer questions related to that week's materials.
