AHMA advocates for a strong, united voice on policy positions that affect your business at the state and federal levels. We offer up-to-date information on regulatory changes, legislative issues, policy proposals, and funding availability specific to our industry through newsletter blasts, webinars and direct access to resources.

  • E-subscriptions to timely and insightful publications, including NAHMA News, NAHMAnalysis (legislative bulletin) and local e-mail updates (which offer discounted advertising rates available in NAHMA News)
  • Member discounts at meetings, conferences, seminars, and training programs

  • Access to professional industry certifications for affordable housing, including Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) and Specialist in Housing Credit Management.
  • Networking opportunities that allow you to forge relationships with industry leaders, vendors, partners, elected officials, and agency staff
  • Access to online marketing of your properties at www.aptfinder.org, a website designed to help Washington residents find affordable housing and reduce vacancy rates for AHMA members
  • Ability to post open positions on Jobs page on the AHMA website
  • Annual membership directory from the national association and access to member-only web pages
  • Eligible to serve in leadership positions on the AHMA Board of Directors and on national committees, including voting rights in all elections

Member Categories

Professional Members – available to developers, owners, managers, builders, housing authorities, syndicators, accountants, attorneys, bankers, consultants, professional service providers, non-profit organizations, and government agencies that are actively involved in the industry. Includes access to all member benefits.

$250 per year plus $3.00 per unit (Per unit dues are an allowable property operating expense per HUD Administrative Notice)

Small Company Members – available to small project owners or managers with 75 units or less of affordable housing.
$125 per year plus $3.00 per unit
