are now both available.  The JCHS State of Housing 2021 report discusses all aspects of the housing market and the forces that shape it including economics, demographics, and government policy. This NAHMAnalysis touches on key insights of the report, shedding light on where the housing market is now and how it got there. HUD’s Worse Case Housing Needs 2021 report presents national data on the need for affordable housing and analyzes the critical problems facing renter households. This NAHMAnalysis provides an overview of the challenges facing low-and extremely low-income renters, including the persistent shortage of affordable housing heading into, and likely worsened by the effects of, the COVID-19 pandemic.
