Update for CPD Income Eligibility Calculator Users

On June 15, the CPD Income Eligibility Calculator will be updated for two reasons: a) for enhanced functionality and b) to include the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Income Limits. These changes will affect calculations in your Income Eligibility Calculator (IEC) dashboard, so please take note of the following:

• Please be sure to complete any in-progress calculations and download the summary files of your existing calculations for your records before the IEC is updated on June 15.
• Due to the nature of the functionality updates, data loss may occur for the calculations that are currently in a user's dashboard. Therefore, users should be prepared to review/restart any existing calculations that they want to reuse once the update occurs.
• HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) users – note that all existing Adjusted Income and Rental Assistance calculations will be deleted during the update. If necessary, you can create new Adjusted Income and Rental Assistance entries by re-completing the existing Annual Income calculation for the household and then progressing to the additional calculations.
• After the update, the IEC will use the FY 2022 Income Limits for the purposes of determining eligibility.

• CDBG Disaster Recovery Assistance (CDBG-DR)

HUD’s Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes (OLHCHH) is sponsoring a webinar series that will review federal lead regulations with a focus on the Lead Safe Housing Rule (LSHR) activities:

• Subpart J for rehabilitation
• Subpart K for acquisition, leasing, support services, and operations

Presenters will provide a step-by-step explanation of how practitioners can create healthy housing while complying and documenting compliance with the LSHR. Register today!

Training Objectives

Participants will learn:

• How the federal lead regulations apply to their housing activities and programs
• How to comply and document compliance with the key steps of lead hazard evaluation, reduction, and clearance
• How to keep residents protected from lead hazards during and after work is complete

Who Should Attend?

This series is relevant to Community Planning and Development (CPD) and Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) grantees and their subgrantees/subrecipients who administer Subpart J housing rehabilitation activities and Subpart K activities/programs (including homebuyer assistance).

Please note: This series has the same content as the series offered in February and May/June 2021. Due to limited availability, you may not register for this series if you registered for the previous series or are HUD staff.

Schedule and Registration

This series includes four weekly, two-hour sessions on Wednesdays followed with a one-hour office hour session on Thursdays to review homework and answer questions related to that week's materials.

Registering will automatically register participants for all sessions in the series. All participants are expected to attend the first session of the series, then only attend the remaining sessions that apply to their work activities.

• Attend sessions 1, 2, and 3 if administering housing rehabilitation programs
• Attend sessions 1 and 4 if administering acquisition, homebuyer assistance, leasing, support services, and operations programs
• Attend all 4 sessions if administering multiple programs that include housing rehabilitation and any of the Subpart K activities
