NAHMA HUD Update: HUD Launches New Community Investment ToolDecember 12, 2016 Below, please find a link to HUD's new Community Assessment Reporting Tool (CART). Cart is a GIS mapping tool for HUD investments across U.S. communities, providing up-to-date funding and expenditure data at both property- and grant-level detail. CART offers a snapshot of current investments and can also be used to generate reports in PDF or Excel. Investment information for major HUD programs, including Multifamily rental assistance programs and Housing Choice Vouchers, is searchable by city, county, state, metropolitan area, and congressional district. While the tool does not represent a comprehensive accounting of HUD, it is instead designed to geospatially portray the majority of HUD's budget.
